Once a 19th century brewhouse, Hotel Emma in now a flagship for The Pearl’s culinary and cultural community. The hotel features many artifacts that emphasize the building’s industrial past, including a vintage compressor in the lobby, chandeliers fashioned from labeling equipment and solid bronze gadgets repurposed as light fixtures. The hotel includes 146 guest rooms and seven top-floor suites. From luxurious rooms in the original brewhouse to the more contemporary River Cellars with private terraces, each stay will be a delight.

The Pearl neighborhood is located just north of downtown San Antonio and provides a unique experience as one of the top destinations in south Texas. Thriving with life and activity, this neighborhood boasts more than 320 apartments, 15 restaurants, two dozen businesses and retailers, as well as a twice-weekly farmers market. The Pearl covers 22 acres, and is home to several prestigious organizations, including The Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio; the year-round Pearl Farmers Market; and The Hotel Emma. Event spaces include the historic Pearl Stable, which is more than 14,000 square feet, and the Pearl Studio, which is more than 3,000 square feet.

Hotel Emma has 6,100 square feet of meeting space, including the 3,250-square-foot Elephant Cellar, the Gold Room and the Boardroom. The riverside views and custom chef-created menus are just a few reasons why the hotel is an ideal location for everything from business meetings to social events. Other amenities include a rooftop pool, complimentary Electra cruiser bikes, a 3,700-volume library, Hotel Emma’s tavern and club room, and a complimentary La Babia margarita upon arrival.

Located in the brewery’s old fermenting cellars is LARDER, the hotel store where guests and locals can stock up on culinary luxuries and fine groceries. Also within the hotel is Sternewirth, Hotel Emma’s tavern and club room. Guests are welcomed to enjoy a variety of cocktails, wine and craft beers all while enjoying the architecture of the historic hotel, including a dramatic 25-foot vaulted ceiling. As if the hotel didn’t offer enough, just across the street is the Hiatus Spa. The newly opened retreat offers 13 treatment rooms, a hydro therapy room, as well as a nail therapy room with zero gravity chairs.
